We've never had a strong acapella community, in high school or in college (same town for me). Both are very focused on classical voice, rather than acapella groups or even vocal jazz.

Last semester, eight of us choir nerds got up Straight No Chaser's Thirteen Days of Christmas for SSAATTBB. Ours was slightly different, but still totally awesome

I have a few Anoushka Shankar pieces. To the best of my knowledge it's the only sitar music I have. I also have a thing for 1960's era psychedelic rock which is notoriously full of weird shit.

You and me both, sister.
I love psychedelic music from the 60's.

Speaking of which, NONE of the music anyone has mentioned is weird at all.

Some of the weirder stuff I love:
Butthole Surfers
Boredoms
early Ween
Quintron and Ms.Pussycat
Animal Collective
etc etc.
I love weird music that ends a party.

Ditto on the video game music. I've got a playlist on my iPod filled with tunes from everything Square-Enix, Mario, Zelda, Tetris, Katamari, ...even Parappa the Rappa.
