10: Kevin Allison's First Time
Kevin Allison, from MTV’s The State and host of the Risk! podcast, shares his monumental firsts on stage. From his first time performing with members of The State (with no clothes on), to his first catastrophic character work following the show's cancellation, and finally his first story-telling experience which helped him decide his new career path, Kevin covers all the milestones in this highly personal interview.

This episode proves with absolute certainty that Kevin Allison has thee greatest stories - ever.
I love his personal self assessments too. “I’m too Midwest but I’m really perverted but I can be intellectual at times. Really interesting and fun to listen too. He’s officially in the KATG Top Ten w/ this one |

This was my favorite episode yet. I usually listen when I'm on the move, but I got home in the middle of this one and had to listen to the whole thing sitting on my couch. Then I binged episodes of Risk all weekend.
His story of getting into The State by acting totally bonkers is a great life lesson - put yourself out there, fucking go for it, stalk people until they like you, etc. |
