Great show, and since nobody else has said it ... buck up people. Throw a dollar on the pile if you haven't done it yet this month.

I also must stress Marc's suggestion for The Downfall.

I dont know if there is an english dubbed version of it (I saw it dubbed in Italian), but if you dont mind subtitles, see it. Amazing.

according to Marc Maron, the following are also sell-outs:

Chemda - doing a talk show instead of following her music career
Keith - doing a talk show instead of stand-up
BroLo - doing ads, playing drums instead of working on his solo career

Damn sell-outs!

I know you're not an idiot, why do you write idiotic things? This one does not even make sense...

I get it but it was not what Marc said. He clearly said, clarified and explained that Joe Rogan did a mistake by doing "Fear Factor", a reality show that (in his opinion) is part of the lowering of the american culture. He also added that he thinks that shows like "Fear Factor" are responsible for the overload of crappy reality show, and the death of intelligent and well written sitcoms. So he thinks that Joe, that now preaches culture and intelligence in his latest stand up shows, somehow did something that he perceives as bad as joke-stealing.

As you can see, it's an argument way more complex than what you said. You can disagree, of course, but dont twist his words around to make your point.

Twist implies intent. I'm just going by what I heard him say on the show. It was still playing while I wrote that, so I think I got it right. But I'll re-listen at some point. I thought he included more than just Fear Factor in his critique. I specifically remember that he said something about Fear Factor *starting* the whole reality show thing, and I remember him including the UFC thing in his critique of Joe selling out. He definitely has a problem with Rogan in general.

But like I said, I'll re-listen later. Will you?

This was a great show. I found Mac's thoughts on things very interesting, and it was especially nice to have another experienced comedian that Keith could bounce off.

Also nice to see you guys get back to to a more "formal" interviewing, like you've done with other people in showbiz you're not friends with, because you guys are great with that and I feel that aspect is neglected sometimes, imo.

Mac's gravelly voice is awesome and he's funny, yet not facetious. Great guest, definitely try and get him on again in the future!

He made a couple of jokes about UFC, that definitely showed that he does not like that too. But his main point was that he tought that joke stealing was bad and wrong but Joe Rogan is not a hero in his eyes, and respoinsible for getting involved in something he despises, for what i think are more than valid reasons. He also said that he has no personal beef with Joe. He just hates the lowering of the american culture (he often said that both in his stand-up and his book, also on the show), and "Fear Factor" definitely was one of the major starters of the vile type of reality shows we have today.

Anyway, yeah, i'll re-listen eventually. But i'm pretty sure i wont change my mind. No offense to you, of course.
