Aww shucks. That's just the wine talkin'.
I have only two coworkers (or cow-orkers as I prefer to hyphenate them across lines) and neither of them really 'get' KATG-humour. But one of them doesn't even really get humour, unqualified, so they may be unrepresentative. I can't imagine either of them getting excited by the language though. |

But I'm going to have to go with Jeremy's deadpan. It's so unpretentiously dark. Anyone who tells time with smurfs, does girlfriend arithmetic, and can go out on a Helen Keller joke can't be all bad. |

Has anyone else noticed Chemda's increasing use of "cute"? At first I found it cute, now it's just irritating me. Maybe because it reminds me of my cousin who went through a similar phase except with the word "true". That phase was right around the time he escaped from a psychiatric facility and over state borders.

I could listen to Chemda do the drunk voice all day and all night and then all of the next day and night. "Old Man" and "Loorng Oyland Jew" can take a break for a year or two, the "Hiccuping Drunk" is her funniest voice by far. It's magical.

If I see someone laughing in public and they have headphones or earbuds on why in Hades would I assume they're window-lickers? Unless they also have a Carrot Top t-shirt on obviously. |

Agreed Buches, but i have to say that i caught my share of bad stares because i was listening to comedy on a train or in a public place, and since stand-up is non-existent here, people cant fathom somebody laughing because of something they're listening too.
Also, public laughter is regarded weirdly in general. When i was a kiddie kid (about 10) i remember going on a trip with my mother. I was reading a Calvin And Hobbes book. I laughed out loud. My mother watched the other passengers of the train embarassed then told me the stop. I tried but the thing that made me laugh remained lodged in my head, like a stupid song. So i laughed again. She took me out of the train compartment and slapped me a couple of times. So i stopped laughing. I kept being afraid of laughing in public for a while then i decided i didnt give a fuck and whenever somebody gave me a blank stare of disapproval, i stare at them back. ADD: to anyone who likes Chemda's impressions (and if you dont, you're a commie-fag-junkie-kiddie-diddler) please buy her prank CD. It's a beauty. I listen to it regularly. Her voice makes me cry like a pre-pubesxcent girl when she sings but she's hysterically funny on that. Do it. Last edited by Junkenstein; 03-15-2010 at 07:23 AM. |
