When I started working where I do know it was still under construction and one girl I worked with had a bunch of comebacks she would throw out.

One time an old guy yelled at me from his car, but he was stuck in traffic so he was just sitting there. I tried to flip him off, but I was wearing mittens. So it didn't end well for either of us that day.

Catcalls are unnerving, sure.

What's worse is when a guy pulls up next to me at a red light and yells something -- hey sexy, nice rack, what's your digits, etc.

When I ignore him, he starts screaming at me, calling me a cunt, a whore, a bitch... sometimes they'll rev their engines or tailgate me. And all because I didn't respond to the come-ons they shouted out the window!?!?! Like Chemda said, what am I supposed to do? Get out of my car ride home with him? What does he expect?

I actually had a guy tell me that he would follow me home and rape me.

It's frightening.

I took a picture of a guy that was driving crazy after my car calling over to me, asking me where I lived, etc. Wouldn't take no for an answer.

He never got mean, but he was really creepy. After I took the picture, he disappeared. But he throughly freaked me out.

Taking a picture seems to work to unnerve them and make them stop, from what I read on various blogs and here:

My phone takes too long to prep the camera option so I usually just growl at them and keep going, unless they're in a car. It sucks when they swing around and drive by again or drive along with you as you're walking on the sidewalk but at least that doesn't usually happen -- it's just the one time.

Keith has made it clear several times on the show that he understands why it freaks women out; so has Kyle. That is reassuring to know that the Costaki mindset ("chill out, it's a compliment") isn't universal.

I like Costaki as a guest -- I just didn't agree with his stance during that conversation.
