You'd think with being on the road and away from your partner, that when you got home you'd fuck more then twice that day, let alone the whole month.

I can understand bringing your own pool cue to a casual night out at a bar might be douchey, but as someone that grew up playing pool a lot, once you get your own cue, it's hard to go back to a bar cue. They are made of shitty wood or plastic resin, only come in standard weights, and have every drunk slobs ballsweat lathered all over them from after they pissed themselves in the bathroom. I guess what it comes down to is whether you are someone who enjoys the game for the game or the game for the social aspect.

I had to listen to the prayer twice after that little conversation at the beginning when Nate said "I'll just say I meant that."

Not sure how serious Nate was about this but I thought this was a good chance to give a few random thoughts about the prayer: I know it started as a funny commentary on Keith's hometown newspaper. Sometimes I get a little annoyed when the guests get overly sarcastic with it, especially when its made into some kind of sexual joke about Jesus being inside you (too easy). Not that anyone is under any obligation of course to take seriously a prayer that they don't mean at all and I'd never ask anyone to fake it.

This is what I really wanted to say for my last couple of years listening: Once in a while I feel like the words that were read, regardless of the delivery, were actually insightful. Sometimes my day is made better by hearing and thinking about the prayer. Am I an idiot?

I think it's awesome that a serious Judge, who went to law school and served as an attorney for most of his career, has to declare in a court of law "This case is not about smelly feet ...". Kind of reminds me of the "ruling" a few years back that a Burrito is not a Sandwich.

As for Oscars, I'm watching the movies now, as I didn't see many in 2010.

Toy Story 3: Excellent and genuinely funny.
Black Swan: Horror-movie style cringing, forgettable characters
True Grit: That little girl was great, otherwise another western. Good scenery.
Inception: Fucking cool, but perhaps too much of a boys' movie.
The Fighter: Paper-thin characters with watery acting and annoying accents.
The King's Speech: Truly, a tremendous movie, considering the "action" is a guy standing in place and talking
The Social Network: Good dialogue and writing, but seemed kinda rushed. Sterile.

I know. Maybe I've just been fortunate to have had years of frequent and good sex, but I think if I backed off to his level I'd have overflow dribbling out of my ears. Of course, that may be part of the problem. Maybe Dr Sleep and some of our other friends, including Nate, have spunk dribbling out of their ears. I can see how that would be off-putting to many ladies.
