His friend may have even had some primal guy thing that made him wonder if he just broke some guy friend code - so best just to ignore it. Weird as it sounds we actually still joke about it sometimes.

What awards tell you exactly how the results were worked out? And what's going to stop anyone from disputing those too? They don't have any obligation to indulge people who don't know how to lose.
