Nominate for worst guest of 2011. Sorry, the guy seems like a nice guy, might be a good writer-but he was clearly so uncomfortable actually talking about the same stuff he writes about, seems like an incongruity that made for bad listening, that and his nervous (?) laugh, it was a festival of awkwardness.

Would it kill this guy to do a little research before appearing on a talk show? He was distracting in how uncomfortable he was with the format.

Yeah, it was like he wasn't prepared at all, jittery & all. he was so distracting, you know.

Agreed and amen. The awkwardness' definetly hits the listener as some repetitative ...lie? It felt like it rang untrue.

I was going to say I didn't mind him too much, but then I remembered I fast forwarded through about 30 minutes in the middle of the episode. Soooo..... he might be a proper nominee for Worst New Guest.

EDIT: Oh, and I was very sad to hear you guys had to cancel on Tom Shillue! Sad you were feeling poorly, of course, and sad because I love Tom. Hope you can reschedule soon!

LOL I gotta agree but Keith and Chemda made it great radio by openly calling him out on it. It was so awkward but it worked for me. I was laughing but at the same time shaking my head.

The content of some of the things he wrote seemed like it would be good fodder for a show but it just never really worked out.

I think that Marty should use this moment to start his own podcast and treat KATG like his arch-nemesis.

Hopefully it would take the feel of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-blog.
