I of course won't read that.
I live in New York City. I have been to so many fast food establishments as an adult in New York City. All I can base my real opinion on is the fast food workers in New York City. They can all eat a dick. (Which I bet, ironically, is what they're serving me. But that's neither here nor there.) |

I tried to summarize your wall of text into a smaller wall of text.
70% of the new jobs which are created in this country are low-wage shit jobs. The majority of fast food workers are over the age of 28. These are no longer jobs worked by just high schoolers. Based on only their $8/hour salary ($15.5k/year) from their jobs with Walmart, employees working there are actually under the federal poverty line ($22k/year). This means that most of these employees are forced onto welfare/food stamps. Which increases taxes/federal spending to the tune of $1billion nationwide. And that is JUST FROM WALMART.... pretty crazy. If we did raise the minimum wage to something more on par with all the other first world countries then these employees would not be soaking up so much of our tax dollars. Putting more money in these employees pockets would also mean that they would be spending more money which would help to stimulate the local economies in those areas!!!!!! WOoooooh!111!111!1!!! Anyway I've lost track of what we're even arguing about... #Kony2012 #Readmorebooks #9/11WasAnInsideJob

You had a good point about how bands are largely the sound of their lead singers.
The one thing with Geoff Tate is that he can't hit the high notes that he could 20 years ago (whether that be from age or a lifetime of smoking), but the thing is that the Tate-less Ryche hired a new lead singer who sounds just like Tate did 20 years ago. It was one of those things that you never would have noticed how bad Tate's voice had become except for the fact that he decided to re-record classic Queensryche songs on his album "Frequency Unknown." You play these substandard shadows of what the songs used to be and you can see how bad his voice has gotten. (Note: He only re-recorded those songs to attempt to give credence to him being the "real" Queensryche.) But then you compare that album to the other album, and you see just how much of a difference there is between the two. Yeah, the two Queensryches are confusing, but what's cool is that the marketplace can determine who is the real winner of the title.

I am digging the "like" button. I feel like I am making a difference here by choosing sides with the like button but not actually having to participate with a thoughtful response.
Blackhatguy summed it up nicely. |

The link I posted? There was nothing to agree or disagree with. In british witty voice it was just pointing out that when people say along the lines of, "I started working in the 70s for only $2 per hour, or in the 80s for only $3 per hour, and I was happy to get even that!" they were actually earning more than minimum wage workers make right now.
