Atheism - A - theism. just means without belief in a god.
there is weak atheism and strong atheism. there is also
humanism and freethinkers and agnostics and more.

weak atheism is kind of just like "whatever". more like this:
Q: Do you believe in the Good Lord our God?
A: The good lord our what? what's that?
examples: taoism, original buddhism.

strong atheism is sometimes militant and anti-religious.
Q: Do you believe in the Good Lord our God?
A: There is no good, you're a fool, and you'll be worm-food soon.
examples: American Atheists, teenagers who think they're atheist.

Spooky - Congrats for being on the show. I haven't listened to it yet since lybsin was amazingly slow this morning.

I hung out 30 minutes past when I intended to leave and the show was still downloading. It wound up hanging with like 5% left to go and I just gave up. Listened to TWIT instead.

I had problems with Libsyn last night too, and not just with KatG either... I found that if I cancel the download and then restart it, it will go at full speed then. You might have to stop and restart a few times, but eventually it'll be a normal download.

Teerts, if we go with your caricatures of atheism then so called 'weak' atheism is actually agnostic. Agnostic is no knowing if there is a higher power and not caring. By definition Atheism is believing that there is no god.

I thought fun with dick and jane was crap, until the guy at the end says "i'm working at enron" - The crowd in the cinema was laughing loudly the whole time. yet at the "enron" joke, I was the ONLY ONE laughing. In australia i don't think anyone in the cinema knew what enron in, and i had to explain it to all my friends who looked at me weird wheni laughed
