That said, I think we've all been in tight financial straits and can't afford to tip like we would like to. In that situation I usually try to make sure I'm an easy and friendly table for a server. Having an easy table is like an oasis on a busy night, and can mean as much as a good tip. |

Just listened to this episode. Want to comment on Tipping. It was talked about tipping a coffee maker. I say no for this reason. TIPS stands for To Insure Prompt Service. Now, at a coffee house, you stand in line at a register. Therefore, they couldn't help you out any faster if they wanted to. Bartenders and servers can help you out faster or slower. When you tip them and come back, they are more inclined to help you out faster or more prompt. Late.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO MISS NEW ORLEANS?
I'm sorry her experience wasn't so good. It was all good to me.
I love every dirty, stinking, puke-covered inch of that city. I'm hoping to return again soon, but I wonder what it will become. I fear that she will probably get her wish; the city will probably be rebuilt into the disneyfied version of it's former self. IMO, the soul of america sank into the gulf of mexico with the city of New Orleans. |

Tipping is great if you go to the same place everytime over and over. The staff remembers you and How you tip. They they will regulate how you get your food. The better you tip, the better the service.
People who do work behind a counter while I wait in line do not truly deserve a tip. They are going to serve me next whether I put money in the fancy glass jar or not. My Burrito or samich will get made Next and not because of the tip. |
