Hearing that little boy on the 911 call was one of the heaviest things I've ever heard on KATG. Reading about it or being told about it is one thing. Hearing the poor kid describe it in his own voice tore me to pieces. I had to stop halfway through it and skip till the end of the segment. I'm such a sap.

I actually live on E 13th street, and this shooting happened two blocks away from my house. This is a pretty bad neighborhood, but I've been lucky in that the worst I've had to endure is the occasional busted window on my truck. This is the kinda place where it's a toss up whether or not the cops will actually show up if you call them. Is it fucked up that I found a little comfort in the fact that it may have been gang related and wasn't just some random home invasion?
