they're out there for sure.

something else that we haven't addressed, and one of my concerns, is the terrorist watch list. that you can be put on it without due process or being informed. who has oversight to define what that means and how that meaning evolves; are we being sound when we give that list powers that negate constitutional entitlements. can we also use that reasoning to curtail, say, 4th amendment rights for political dissidents for causes that are good and true later on down the road.

That's a really bad one. I'm old enough to remember when the PATRIOT Act and terrorist watch lists were considered a bad thing. The list apparently has hundreds of thousands of names on it.

Honestly, even people who want better gun control should oppose that tack because 1) it won't succeed anyway due to judicial scrutiny and 2) because it will continue to harden the other side (and justifiably). It's a dumb Hail Mary that won't even work.

Straw man fallacy

I don't see every owner of a hight powered rifle as a crazy terrorist - I do see them being responsible for the extraordinary number of gun related deaths in the USA, not the same thing.

In fact I support gun ownership. For instance a bolt action deer rifle is fine, or a double barrel shotgun. But there are weapons, like the AR15 and handguns, that have only one purpose, killing humans. These should be banned.

Yes - I take it back, I'm pro mass shootings now

Sorry I misrepresented you - can you explain the sour apple skittles again?
