i have /very/ strong feelings about Lime runts. Lime is the best candy flavor, just, in general with the exception of pineapple which you only see in gummy bears. skittles, popsicles, soda, jolly ranchers; i'll go lime every time.

Orange is an acceptable front runner. i mean, c'mon.

but, Banana, you guys? Banana. i'm disgusted and disappointed in each of you sickeningly sweet, dish soap tasting Banana runt eaters out there. jesus, just eat arsenic and do us all a favor. bunch of f-word-y r-words out there.

I've had runts once or twice in my life, but the vile taste of a banana runt has stayed with me for life. And this is coming from someone who loves bananas.

I heard from somewhere that banana runts (and banana-based candy in general) is based on the old variety of banana, a.k.a. the Gros Michel, which was wiped out by a fungus sometime in the 20th century and replaced by the Cavendish, which has a completely different taste. But I just looked it up, and apparently it's a myth. So like what the fuck?!
