Not that it's gender specific, but I've heard women use the term 'minimized' as an equivalent to a situation where a guy would say he felt emasculated.

Of course the Al-anon prayer feels like the 'Our Father' prayer because it is a normal 100% full on Judeo Christian prayer

God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.

Good for you to suffer living with asshole humans surrounding you like a true martyr so you can get into heaven and have a higher power (mommy/daddy/god) be super proud of you.
Just make sure to not fall into the sin of pride by boasting too much about it because god frowns on that too.

Chemda saying she realized that her tendency to hang out with alcoholics stems from something inside her that's drawn to that lifestyle or attitude makes me question why the alcoholic guests are always my favorite on this show...... I guess al-anon is for everyone after all.

Loved the discussions between Chemda and Rosebud. Really insightful ideas and concepts about self reflection and being conscious of how you respond to things. Rosebud talking about the election does make you wonder how much the progressive movement could have contributed towards emboldening the conservative resistance. Ted Alexandro said on the show some time ago about how he strives to build relationships with those he's protesting against in order to educate rather than talk down to and alienate, which we maybe do too often.
