Too fat and lazy to physically handcuff the protestors, so he busts out military-grade pepper spray. And then another fat cop joins in (coincidence?). As a result, 11 university students required medical treatment, and two were hospitalized, according to wikipedia. The cops were from the University police, which if you ask me, makes the university even more shitty for spending exorbitant amounts of kids' tuition money to try to cover this up.

my understanding is that body acceptance movements have co-opted the phrase so fat girls don't feel bad about being fat and the use of it on dating sites is to generally not deter male interest.

That's what I think too. So yes...it does mean "fat" for a lot of people.
