Im also over Covid and would like it to not exist anymore unfortunately Covid doesn’t care at all what we think and still makes lots of people sick and kills them.

I had Covid for 6-8 weeks, it’s no walk in the park, it felt like I didn’t know if I would live or die. I think it comes and goes, I would describe it as mild because I didn’t end up in the hospital or dead.

Only a dickhead would not take it seriously but unfortunately in the UK 53% of the electorate are dickheads.

Academics are the worst bullies having worked in academia for ten years and seen how people scrap over a finite number of jobs. The senior academics are often the ones who are most cut throat in their outlook and will ruin anyone innocent enough to think the work is about the betterment of knowledge and not ego and reputation.

I interned at a county courthouse this past summer and zoom court was an experience. Judge was on mute several times and had to be reminded, which was always a bit awkward. Yes, a steno is required even on zoom but it leads to a lot of "I can't hear anything, please repeat" by the poor person stuck with the job. My favorite was the lack of understanding that zoom court is still court and some behavior is just as unacceptable online is it is in person. Several people showed up shirtless and the judge just about lost it every time. Some idiots brought their phones into the bathroom but left video and audio on. That should be a crime in itself.

What about the science of COVID cases having unknown, lasting effects on people? The cognitive impairments that are happening, increased stroke risk, kidney failure, neurological problems. This is a NOVEL coronavirus, novel meaning new - the newest of the SARS strain of viruses and the long term effects won't be fully realized for a while since science demands things like facts, data and testing.

Get the fuck outta here with your "only 1% chance of dying" fake news - If there was a bowl of m&ms on the table and I told you only 1% of them were poisoned, would you eat any of them?
