Science would say that’s a yes.
Parents are 2 people. You like one, you like 50% of the group.

Unless the question would be, do you enjoy talking to all your parents.

No! If something is terrible 50% of the time that's a No. If 50% of patients have severe side effects from medicine that's not a successful trial? Please explain.

I like talking to my dad he is awesome always has been. My mom? Not so much.
Unfortunately they are a package deal so I rarely talk to them and usually don't enjoy it because any fun WhatsApp banter with dad is immediately killed by a mom negativity.

.
Depends always on the primary end point of the trial, and this point is determined before the trial.

Side effects are determined on healthy individuals before it comes to the question if the medicine is really helping or not in sick people.
These are phase 1 studies.

So basically if 50% of healthy individuals had terrible side effects, there would be no phase 2 or 3 study to see if the medicine helps, the drug would be cancelled.

Sooooooo

You agree with me that it's a No? But voted yes anyway?

Or are you saying that as adults we have grown past the phase 1 and now just need to accept the toxic abuse because we didn't say no as kids?

My parents both behave in the last years and have even apologized for not great behavior in the past.
They are both pretty good actually, I must admit even if it’s hard to admit. I want to be annoyed but there’s no real reason.

Also I just read that again

Are you trying to say that medicine is tested on healthy people?
And if it doesn't harm the healthy ones too much the people it actually is meant to help aren't relevant?

I didn’t make up the protocols for drug testing. I’m not that powerful. That’s phase 1 of clinical trials.
I don’t know why you are mad at me?

Phase I Dose-ranging on healthy volunteers for safety Often subtherapeutic, but with ascending doses Clinical researcher 20–100 normal healthy volunteers (or cancer patients for cancer drugs) Approx. 70% Determines whether drug is safe to check

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phases...nical_research

Phase 1 is the start, and if the drug isn’t harmful you can test further if it works on sick people.
If the drug is harmful in phase 1 it’s over.

With the exception of genotoxic oncology drugs, first-in-human, Phase 1 clinical studies of investigational drugs have traditionally been conducted in healthy volunteers (HVs). The primary goal of these studies is to investigate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a novel drug candidate, determine appropriate dosing, and document safety and tolerability.

The alternative would be giving an already sick person a substance never used
In humans before.
The possible risks would affect someone who is already sick much more.

When she was alive I enjoy talking to my mom when she was alone. When her boyfriend was around, we both suppressed our conversations as he would always need to interject himself into it.
