I know I'm a bit of an audiophile but it's usually clear when the guest has put 0 effort into their audio setup. It used to be the case that you had to spend a ton of money on mics, preamps, etc but it's really come down in the last few years and the secondary market is great. Software DAWs like Audacity and Garageband are free, and there's even a free version of Pro Tools which is the recording industry standard.
Out of curiosity, (and at risk of of boring everyone else with gear talk) Keith and Chemda what's your signal chain? |

I record training videos for my work maybe 2 times a year. Maybe. And I have a fucking Blue Yeti microphone. That's crazy pants if that's you're job.
Also I'm guessing for the book/kindle thing thata lot of people have gone back to books (like paperbacks/hardback books) like how everyone is putting out records again. Just my guess though. Personally i prefer audiobooks or podcasts, but still use my Kindle if I'm reading |

A friend of mine wants to start a podcast with me, so I made sure to ask specific questions like "what should I get to have the best audio" and he sent me the exact link to what I should order, how to set it up, and any adapters I might need if I use a macbook instead of my PC. Welcome to the future, idiots.
