This really pissed me off. I don't remember if Keith or Brolo said it. But I'm already pissed off over some of the racist right wing spew that's being thrown around regarding the Cutts case (pregnant woman murdered by her married cop boyfriend who happens to be black), so this really rubbed me the wrong way.

20% of women who die while pregnant are murdered. And most of them are murdered by their significant others. So fine, laugh at people who get pissed off about rape jokes. It's funny to be a woman in this world and have people laugh off seriously violent acts like they're no big deal. If you've never been violated or sexually assaulted, then you can just shut the fuck up about it. There is no such thing as an overreaction to being raped, and no man should be able to explain away a MURDER by claiming "the bitch had it coming."

Right now I seriously hate Keith.

funny thing is i kinda agree with you blitzgal..except that it is just a comedy show and laughing is how we cope with tragedy.

and be careful where you get statitistics they are easilly manipulated..im not saying yours are inaccurate im just saying it doesnt make a point valid what does make your point valid is that i agree that rape is worse than murder and that racist spew about a crime of passion can make one angry


although i do think one can overract to anything including rape and i do think that most theory on rape and its discourse is immediately missunderstood due to the passion and personal shit that is presupposed when it is discussed
