I can't hate too much on a disturbed guy, but some of his fans are nutjobs. During the child abuse trial a few years ago, I remember there would be dozens of people outside of Neverland ranch dressed in MJ costumes and waving signs. And Neverland is way the fuck out in the middle of nowhere, so it took some dedication (the road out there is also where they filmed Death Proof).
