The Best SITCOMS of the 2000s
What do you guys reckon?
I reckon probably something like ... 1. 30 Rock 2. Veep 3. The Office (UK) 4. Peep Show 5. Broad City 6. Atlanta 7. New Girl 8. Silicon Valley 9. Louie 10. Futurama 11. Flight of the Conchords 12. Community 13. Parks & Recreation 14. Children's Hospital 15. Eastbound & Down 16. The Thick of It 17. Party Down 18. Vice Principals 19. Insecure 20. Malcolm in the Middle 21. The Office (US) 22. Brooklyn 99 23. Scrubs 24. Extras 25. My Name Is Earl 26. Modern Family Note I haven't watched Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Bojack Horseman, Archer or Always Sunny in Philadelphia yet. Everything else I am snubbing on purpose or just somehow forgot about, in which case did it really deserve consideration? Naaaaaaah. Note also that I'm talking about shows which kicked off since 2000, hence no South Park or Friends or Freaks & Geeks. EDIT: Also added Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to stuff I haven't seen yet. A VERY IMPORTANT note considering 30 Rock is my #1. Last edited by Bucho; 01-22-2017 at 03:10 AM. |

Parks & Rec was the very rare sitcom that just gets better and better each season. Most of them start to run out of ideas around S4, but that show just went from strength to strength to strength all the way till the finale.
I didn't even know Garfunkel & Oates had a show, but that does remind me I have watched most of Riki Lindholm's show Another Period which is pretty fun. Haven't seen Catastrophe yet even though I do enjoy Sharon Horgan. And of course I know B23 from Chemda, I don't know why I wasn't putting 2 and 2 together. |

Always Sunny just started its 12th season and honestly is just as good as the first time I saw it. There's one or two duds each season but it's consistently hilarious and original (and they even filmed some episodes in Philly this season!).
I've never laughed harder at a series than the first time I watched the original run of Arrested Development. The pacing and structure of all the jokes in that show, perfect. Top 5: 1. Always Sunny 2. Arrested Development 3. Curb Your Enthusiasm 4. Parks And Rec 5. The Office |

Nice to see a less expected ranking than usual. It's weird I can't think of any sitcoms that haven't been mentioned yet but there must be a bunch.
Hmm The League was pretty good. Chemda's other favorite hasn't been mentioned yet, Bob's Burgers. And Chemda's other favorite, Grace and Frankie. |
