Did your friend ever have contests with other students about who could get the most blood, most screaming, etc.? They were talking about it in another thread about NYU students.

When I first moved to NY several years ago, a friend of mine worked CB's and I was fortunate enough to be snuck in the backdoor to see Joey Ramone M.C. and perform for a night of CMJ fest.

Also, saw Joey MC his last show, Punk rock christmas gig at the Continental. I would have given anything to have seen the Dictators there the last week

RIP CBGB--it is a shame that our dumbass government couldn't put THIS on the national historic landmark register, or whatever it's called. This was mecca for the punk rock scene all over the world.

It's hard to believe that our luck has gotten this bad...

Yes, it is a shame, but would that have worked in this situation? Landlord tenant dispute? More like landlord trying to extort money
