How do you count orgasms?

I asked this question in the slampokes thread, but it went unanswered and isn't actually on topic, so I thought I'd make my own thread.

I count every time there's a climax, even if they aren't all of the same magnitude. When I told this to my work friends, they said you weren't supposed to count the small ones. I'm not really sure what that means.

What do you guys (but mostly girls) think?

I consider an orgasm a contraction, breath changes, temperature fluctuations, all that really good stuff.

That said, I've always been very sensitive, so for me it's usually very strong when it happens.

The strangest thing for me was when I was on heavy duty doses of prednisone - I'd have an earthshattering ones sometimes when I went to the loo. Shocking.

Edit - good stuff meaning the writhing, arching, shudders.

If it was a release of tension, I count it. After a Bigger climax I can rock another, maybe 2, smaller ones directly afterward. I would count that as three separate orgasms. Intensites, locations, and body responses vary for, I think, all of us ladies. Different breeds, but still a dog; ya know?

I only count the climax and orgasm. It has to end with an orgasm or it doesn't count.

For me anyway.

For me I get this build up of intense pleasure then it culminates into throbbing and pulsing in the nether regions...the throbbing part is the orgasm, the 20 seconds before it is the climax.

God, I hope I never become famous and all of this shit is spilled into The Enquirer...Or maybe that would be the coolest thing ever?

same here. the climax doesn't count unless there's an orgasm. in fact, i HATE when i get really close and then [insert penis-holder here] stops to orgasm himself, or thinks it'd be good to slow down "for pleasure's sake" resulting in my having to close down the shop myself...grrr...

See, I consider the litany of physical reactions to be the peak of pleasure, and therefore the climax, which to me is a.k.a. the orgasm, the top of the wave, etc.

But you're saying that the whole ramping-up process is the climax. Or, that there is a point in the ramping up that signifies eminent orgasm, which is the climax, but that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances (like those mentioned by Ms. Milf) there is a climax but no orgasm.

This, final ramp-up followed by no orgasm, causes me to laugh uncontrollably. It's kind of fun, but can also be very frustrating.

In Slampokes thread we were bragging about how many orgasm we could have in one session...numbers like 15 were being thrown around and not one woman was calling bullshit because it can and does happen all the time
