Tattoos are really not that painful.

If they were I wouldn't be wanting more; I'm not a big pain fan.

My point is not that its a dumb tattoo, its that its a bad tattoo. Its like instead of you mother and random bar people agreeing your tattoo of flowers is feminine, they said that your floral design appears to have been drawn by a 5 year old with a sharpie. The problem is that that logo is never going to look good, whereas a floral design could.

Let's put you under the needle for 5 hours on your ribs, or the ditch of your arm, or the shoulder bone. You tell me how much you aren't in pain then.

Probably true. I've never gotten one in any of those spots.

Both my tattoos are on my arms (not a terribly sensitive spot), but they both felt as if I was getting a haircut with barber clippers, without any real pain at all.

I'm not quite sure where the ditch of the arm is, but if it's the elbow pit I'll find out the pain level in a couple of months when I get my left arm knot expanded; it'll become a cross that goes into my elbow pit. If it's something else, I'll probably never know and I'll trust your experience.
