Laughing uncontrollably at work b/c of this line “your vacation is rooned” I had to pause the ipod and take a break b/c I couldn’t stop the giggles...

Everyone knows I listen to podcasts all day at work...so noone is surprised to hear me chuckling to myself all-the-time. At first they took it as some low grade Tourette's now they know and apparently don't seem to care. I do my work well, so they leave me the f^*k alone to enjoy my day. Done and done.

One time I was totally out of control laughing was when Keith did his Vinny the Asshole routine. A wacha eatin' old lady, the salmon... or 'tatos, pussy aguyiugahhhhhhhhgh!!!....Tony and Tina...oohhhh. I got a few sideways glances that day.

In the past 4 weeks, I have gone from being a podcast-virgin, to a podcast-addict... AND IT'S YOUR FAULT! <-- to be shouted in the one-and-only "Keith Malley" style. Prior to happening upon your show, I felt like my life was in MY control. But now, I am afraid for me and how I might end up dead (or at least severely injured). Here's why...

I began listening to Keith and The Girl as of episode 470: Not Kosher. (A better episode I could not have chosen as my first, right?) I began listening to episode 470 in my car on the way to the gym. This took the place of my usual practice of tuning in 680News (www.680news.com) for my 45 minute commute. In hindsight, I can see that this is where things began to spiral out of control…

On that very morning, KATG wrapped it's vicious tentacles around my gym workout, causing me to LOL (yes Chemda, for REAL) while on the elliptical machine instead of my usual silent 20 minute cardio workout. Those that were within earshot of my sudden guffaw glanced at me with "get the white jacket" eyes. I should have stopped then, but I just couldn’t help myself…

It was shortly before Noon when a smile appeared on my face as I thought about the upcoming lunchtime and the inevitable opportunity to fire-up my iPod once again. With iPod in hand, I snubbed those with whom I usually socialize at lunch, replacing them with two complete strangers named Keith and Chemda. It should be noted that the smile that appeared on my face shortly before Noon, reappeared later that day shortly before quitting time. It’s now been less than 24 hours and I’ve gone so far down the rabbit hole that I am starting to forget what my life was like before KATG…

I can remember when I first admitted to myself, "I have a problem". It was about 2 weeks after I first listened to episode 470. It was around the time when I am usually helping my two(2) kids get ready for bed. And instead, I was listening to the most recent KATG podcast, browsing the forums, and otherwise not meeting my obligations as a parent. I am so ashamed of what I have become.

Today, it all came to a head when I made the ultimate error in judgment – I decided to listen to episode 486: HA HA! while executing a bench-press. Well, I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you why laughter and dead-weight are a recipe for disaster. Suffice to say that I had to turn to the very people that, a couple weeks earlier, thought I was nuts… to pull the weights that had since fallen to my chest. As I lay there helpless, unable to breathe, with people scrambling to come to my aid, a soft and gentle Keith Malley continued to whisper in my ear, “HA HA!... HA HA!”…

I suspect that there are others like me out there, either too far gone to realize they need help, or struggling to function normally in our non-KATG podcast-centric world. To you, a plea for a new “slash” section to keithandthegirl.com:

“keithandthegirl.com/PLA” … short for “Podcast Listeners Anonymous”.

Consider it a Public Service offering for your dedicated listeners, not unlike the Gamblers Anonymous hotline service offered by your friendly neighborhood Casino.

I was sat on a bench outside work today listening to the first HUAR mention, and i laughed as per, outloud, again. infront of someone who then thinks "What are they laughing at me for?"
I love that katg make me look crazier that the cat food smelling lady who comes to my workplace.

Too many times to count! I'm constanly being asked "What's so funny?" and how do I tell my coworkers I'm laughing at?

I can also be seen smiling at my computer screen while I'm on the forums...that one I play off like I'm smiling at all the cutie pie animals on cuteoverload...I'm smart like that.
