Nightmare Theory

Last night I had the following dream which disturbed the fuck out of me. I should add that this is not a joke - this is entirely serious...

I'm at a country house. Like in England, somewhere green. A party is in progress and I am enjoying the company of the house's owner - a kindly gentleman named Sir Walter Duke. I am invited to participate in a horse race on the property where my mount is a beautiful chestnut mare. As I walk out onto the grass in front of the country house the mare rears up - she is spooked and it is clear that she won't be able to run the race. So we let it go - no big deal. I enjoy the rest of the day with the people at the country house and the party ends with a promise by Duke that he will allow me to ride the mare the next time I visit.

So my dream cuts forward to that very next visit. I am introduced to Duke by a butler along with my parents and my grandmother and we exchange pleasantries. Suddenly from outside the house we all hear the chilling scream of an animal outside the house. It terrifies us all and we look around for the source of the sound.

I go to the front door of the house, step out onto the stoop. The sky has come over all dark. A stiff breeze has whipped up. Gone are the vibrant colors of the (?) English countryside - there is dust and earth. From my right I hear the scream of the animal again and I whip my head in the direction of the sound to see a huge elephant thundering towards the house. Blood seeps heavily from a gunshot wound in it's left ear. There are wounds all over it's back as though it has been struck by something sharp. Then a few seconds later the mare comes into view galloping in a panicked way, completely out of control. Time slows to a crawl and I am transfixed by the mare. She has cuts all over her back like the elephant and they are weeping blood. I am horrified. But as I look forward, as the mare gallops closer I notice her head. Her eyes have been hollowed out and I can see clear through to the other side - ragged fleshy cavities replace her eyes. Blood streams down over her face.

I fall to my knees, my mouth opens in horror...

And then I woke up - chilled to the fucking core.

Can someone please explain this to me.

Damn... that's freaky. Do you know anyone who is similar to Sir Walter Duke? And how are you relations with your parents and grandmother?

All I could think while reading this was, "God I hope it doesn't end with beastiality..."

The green countryside represents the lost feelings you have for the cousin that you have not met yet.

The Elephant, and the horse are goals that you want to accomplish, and despite them being shallow, you are sticking to them.

The gunshots symbolize warning shots, there is something, or someone in your life that is taking advantage of you and you need to get away from them.

Or, it could just be a weird dream, because dreams are weird.

Sir Walter Duke obviously represents the Duke brothers from the movie Trading Places.

The mare represents your desire for a strong woman to put a saddle on.

The elephant represents the University of Alabama.

The gunshot represents Fifty Cent.

DONE! That makers perfect sense.

it represents money you lost on a horse race that somehow ended like the last boy scout.

or.... something you want to accomplish but either due to injury or inability are unable to.

That's what I've done with my current project. The guy in my banner and avatar was the guy I seen in a dream. I woke up, sketched him out, and the rest is history.

I woke up thinking Tarsem Singh has got nothing on my imagery. Some of you people don't know just how close to the bone you have cut with your insight. I don't know which is more head fucky right now - the dream or this thread. Suffice to say I give two tonnes of bowel actions about this thread. It has rocked me.
