Spookster! You can get a video camera for $200! That's how much mine was. It's got zoom and all kinds of stuff on it. If you want something "kitsch'y" (sp?) I got a little P.O.S. camera for The Boy child. It was $28, shoots 2 MP stills and does VGA video. It takes SD cards and actually has a 1.5 inch screen. He has dropped it so many times, it's practically in 5 pieces- but it still works. Got it at Target, tho I haven't seen that particular model in a while. There were some other Cassette based things too. My TRS-80 had a bad ass cassette tape "hard drive". It was gawd-awful, but at the time it was good enough, eh? If you want a PXL-2000 here is an ebay auction that ends in 2 hours Last edited by mrdahonay; 02-07-2008 at 11:17 AM. |

i think the video quality is one of the appeals. and the fact that audio cassette tapes as a medium are still really easy to come by. i have a regular video camera, and my digital camera does video too. id still love to play around with one of these, ive wanted one since about 1995. i just keep forgetting they exist til i see one being used on the street or something like that.

I had one as a kid spookies....I'll check paw's basement...he horded a bunch of my old stuff when I went off to college.
After buying me the damn thing for Christmas they refused to spend more money for extra tapes. So all I filmed was my class bday party in 4th grade. Where I caught everyone's reaction to my gangsta-ass camera. It was alot of "Look with your eyes, Not with your hands". |
