A Question of Colour
I have heard (on other podcasts, not sure if on this one) black people referred to as "people of colour" (or "color" seeing it was on a seppo podcast and you bastards can't spell properly).
I used this term a while ago with a mate who is a black American. To say that he was less than impressed would be an understatement. He was also an ex-Marine. Fortunately, he didn't beat the shit out of me. He just grabbed my rather pale arm and asked "is that a colour"? I though it was a good point, ditched the PC bullshit, and went back to calling him a nigger jar-head ![]() But I would still be interested in hearing, particularly from any black (or even just non-white) members about their feelings on the phrase "person of colour". You all appear to be a pack of cunts, so I feel I have a decent chance of getting honest answers.

I am so torn on this: is Earl right & I'm just walking into a trap or does Scumhook actually give a shit about this?
![]() For the sake of our eventual sexual meetup Scum, I will answer the question. I HATE being referred to as a person of color because my color is in fact brown, not black. That's why I'm not a fan and sounds like your friend as well. I HATE being called African American. For all intensive purposes, I call myself Black. I am not mixed with anything else (ie I'm not from an island or the carribean) other than some white (thanks slave owners!) about 3 generations back and Cherokee somewhere in there for good measure. I'm old school, there was no African American options on forms when I grew up. My world was simply Black and White and that's my preference. I will allow you Whiteys to call me whatever you want EXCEPT a nigger. Unless we cool like that. And even then I'd probably punch you in the throat at least once so yo ass don't think you can get away saying that to every Black person you meet. Yall gonna learn today! |

Person of color wouldn't bother me in the slightest. No one has ever called me that either. Honestly I would feel like if you were calling me that you were making an honest effort not to offend me. Maybe I would to tell you to just call me Black because that doesn't bother me at all. African-American is more offensive to me because it's just is grossly erroneous; I'm not from Africa, I'm Black. Ironically actual African-Americans don't tend to like us Blacks; chalk it up to cultural differences.
