Is this for real?
Find His Porn
I saw this on Geekologie.com and was wondering if anyone had heard of this? The "demo" video on the page doesn't work. Seems so ridiculous. Why would anyone let an application SCAN YOUR COMPUTER? Who knows what it's doing. Plus, why does a woman HAVE to know what pornographic material their husband is looking at? Is it that big of an issue? If someone has an internet sex addiction, I would assume it'd be pretty obvious. |

Oh, I thought this was going to be some sick video.
Ok, I would NEVER look for his porn because I would NEVER want him to discover mine. I am far more sick and perverted then he could ever be. No need to tarnish his ideal of who I am.... Tables can be turned so if you want to know that bad you better not live in any glass houses. |

Yeah, I just wanted to know whether this was real or some scam to get people to download an application that scans their computer and then does who knows what (installs something, collects the scanned information and sends it somewhere, etc, etc).
Either way, I think it's pretty ridiculous because internet sex addictions should be pretty easy to spot, so other than that I can't see a reason to want to know what someone is looking at. I also find it funny that it perpetuates the stereotype that porn is exclusively a male thing, even though there's some "fact" that 72% of viewers are male. What about the other 28%? That's almost 1/3, that's actually pretty high. |
