Shock Mount Help

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a shock mount that will fit a Shure PG48/58? I've spent sometime looking online and I haven't found anything that's gives me a clear answer. Thanks in advance!

Shure makes an A55M mount. I'm not too crazy about it. Not much isolation and makes the mic floppy. $25-ish.

There is a sabra universal mount but it doesn't work so great for heavy mics that get fussed with a lot... Try before you buy.

The 58 capsule is already isolated for handling noise. This is why there aren't many shockmounts for it.

Does your mixer/mic pre system software have a 75hz or HPF button? If the frequency is variable try raising it as high as 140 hz. Try using it to reduce low end rumble from desk and handling noise.

Post-processing EQ could remove sub 100Hz frequencies after recording as well. Once again look for the HPF preset (High Pass Filter) Sounds MUCH better.

Good luck.

They make PG48 movies? How old do you have to be to get in?

If you feel industrious there are some tutorials online to make your own with pvc pipe and elastic bands.

Don't most "Speech Enhancer/Aural Exciter" filters include a hi-pass process too?

And are you thinking of the SM58? And do they have the same capsule? For my experience, the PG is a much lighter mic, and lets in more rumble.
