The Top 20, err, 23

I remember Spooky mentioning many episodes ago that he had written down a list of 20 things he wanted to do in his life, and he suggested everyone should write down such a list to help them achieve their goals. I thought it was a great idea, and promptly wrote a list of my own. Some things are general, some more specific. I've been feeling pretty down lately, so I figured now's a good a time as any to get it out there and re-energize myself.
Anyone else have a list??

THE TOP 23

1. Do a major solo hike
2. Own a business
3. Learn to Kite Surf
4. Bungee jump
5. Scuba Diving:
A- Become a rescue diver
B- Dive the Great Barrier Reef
6. Take a white water course and do a class 5 river
7. Get a pilot's license (Heli/plane/both?)
8. Climb a real mountain
9. Assorted Sexual fantasies:
A-
B-
C-
10. Get a skydiving license
11. Learn to sail
12. Travel (Partially)
13. See the Olympics live
14. Get into a life long exercise routine
15. Become a proficient (giggidy) cook
16. Be able to comfortably own car, motorcycle and give 10% to charity
17. Finish College degree
18. Understand car mechanics and home repairs
19. Work in my field of choice
20. Spend some time in a Shaolin monastery
21. Be a guest on KATG
22. See the Aurora Borealis
23. Learn to speak Arabic

Underscored = Completed

I have a list. Mine was inspired by a woman named Zora that I first heard on the This American Life Podcast. She started the list when she was 12 or so with ambition of compiling all the skills she would need to become a superhero. If I remember correctly she graduated high school when she was 15 and is now working as a mercenary.
Some of the things on her list that shes done include:
- learnt to pilot helicopters and commercial aircraft
- PhD in GeoPhysics or something like that
- mastery of multiple martials
- medic training
- survival training and tracking
- lockpicking
- a few foreign languages

it was a pretty insane list that she just kept adding to and changing

It was a pretty interesting episode, Zora's part was Act Two and the segment is called wonder woman.

I only have 6 :\

1. Get a PhD
2. Earn enough to not have to live with roommates/housemates
3. Earn a C in fencing
4. Study Algebraic Topology
5. Study philosophy and politics
6. Learn to play the viola

But they're pretty much end-results of many sub-goals.

Travel and other stuff I can take or leave. I'll end up doing something that's a life goal for others (like see _______) during vacations, but nothing specific I'd consider worthy of a life goal spot.

EDIT: oh yeah, forgot the last one. Haven't thought about it in a year now because there aren't any local opportunities.

Does the gender not matter?

I recommend a large shark, there's less laws around killing ocean creatures

Do you count extras, too? I'm guessing every wannabe actor has been an extra in a major motion picture as part of a crowd somewhere.

Plus if you wear that chainmail suit you're basically invincible (though it could still kill you if it gets lucky)

well seeing as i'm a straight guy, it has to be females. i haven't decided if extras from a movie count. i'll decide whenever i have sex with an extra.

how the hell could fight a shark, which is underwater, while wearing chainmail? i'm not talking about staging a fight. there's no laws against fighting a bear or tiger or lion if it attacks you, and who is to say who threw the first punch?

He's got a pretty good point there.

I have a very short list, but some of them are ridiculously hard to achieve, so I think that evens it out.

1. Become CCIE certified
2. Play in Carnegie Hall
3. Learn to play mandolin (not bluegrass)
4. Get a PhD in something I can actually use
5. Get away with a murder

I've achieved most of my list...which was humble to begin with

#1 was have a child, I did that last year
2. Get a degree, done
3. Find a man, done
4. move out of my parents place, done
5. buy a house, done
6. Get a job preferably in the arts, done
7. lose weight, done....but had a baby and undid it...fuck
8. Travel around Europe, done

Now I need a new list...here goes

#1. Raise a smart boy into a confident and sensitive man who loves his momma but isn't a momma's boy.
2. Lose that fucking weight...damn
3. Keep said artsy dead end job to pay for this ridiculously over priced, over taxed 60 year old bungalow with a drainage problem.
4. Go to Turks and Caicos
5. Marry my man
