Vonage - again ugh.
Hey guys,
I just heard that my ISP is planning on blocking specifically Vonage from being used. I've had it a year, and despite the echos, delays and all the other crap - it's still a better deal than our other options. Everything else is with isp too - the digital cable and the high speed. I guess they want to get into the voip thing too and blocking any competitors. Such a pain. |

They're talking about doing that in the states too. Though I think someone will end up starting a classaction suit against the cable provider for shit what ever it is i forget now, monopoly, but I think its called something else when filed in a law suit. Someone will post it for sure...Damn still can't remember...

That was my thought, and Vonage did say it was against CRTC regulations. So I guess we'll see. My cell as my home wouldn't work too well, although my husband has his cell too. What a pain.

This is obviously part and parcel with the big network companies trying to do away with Network Neutrality so that they can start charging not only the people who put content on the web but people who are trying to get to that content AND the other networks. This interweb thingy is going to make a lot of people rich..
Oh and that doesnt mean you =( by people, I mean people who are already rich that's who's gonna get rich on this interweb! |
