The Paula Deen video has been taken down from Youtube. For those interested and too lazy to find it yourself, you can see it here - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/1..._n_367928.html

For the record, I am not a Palin supporter. Keith didn't make it clear when he lumped me in with supporters.
We briefly had a chat, I was more or less saying Palin should be treated as irrelevant, as I believe she is. That, to me, means non coverage, not heaps of coverage. TMZ worthy at best. Keith said after devoting half a show to Palin in an earlier episode, when the topic of Miss America or Universe or whatever came up, that he wouldn't be "sucked in" to a conversation about a beauty pageant bimbo, after, in my view, he had spent the last half hour discussing another one. He made the point that he was covering it because everyone was. He said if you ignore her, you act like she has a point(I disagree, and pointed out Obama did the right thing by ignoring the "birthers"). /shrug

My shrug was me walking away in recognition that Keith's point of view was not going to be altered by anything I say. My shrug was me giving up on the topic. You know, like when you shrug IN REAL LIFE. Do you know what LOL means? |

Paula Deen was hit by a ham.
Basically she was in a food pantry in Atlanta unloading a truckload of hams. They had a human chain going where one person would get the ham from the truck, then hand it to Paula Deen, who would then toss it to another volunteer saying "catch!" and they would put it in the fridge of the food bank. Paula threw a ham at a guy yelling "catch". The guy then joking said "right back at ya!" and threw the ham back. Paula didn't look up quick enough and she got smacked in the nose. I liked Jermain but was kinda skeptical about the teacher story. It's weird that he would get so mad when a teacher just told him to get out of her room. Maybe he just sucked at explaining. Or I'm just thinking of movies like Dangerous Minds where the bad guys hit teachers. |
