Great episode! I love Kevin Allison from his podcast and Keith was lightning quick with his comments. Only trouble was my wife was pissed as I kept waking her up as she tried to sleep in the car.

I agree that clubs and other places are way too loud. I went to a meetup last night and the evening got darker and louder as time passed. It got to the point of not being fun. The question I have too often asked is "why is there a DJ here?". Random places like Whole Foods … suddenly, a DJ. GO AWAY.

After listening to RISK for so long and hearing mostly stories I forget how quick Kevin is. What a great comedy presence.

If you want to hear about some of the behind the scenes stuff with GNR - Duff was on Jay Mohr's podcast twice and he talked about running into Axl in a hotel and hanging out and then getting on stage with them for a few songs the next day.

Josh Freese was on Dean Delray's podcast and he talked about the two years he spent working on Chinese Democracy. He said Axl was great to hang out with. All the band members at the time only left because they were all missing touring and Axl still wasn't ready to do it.

Yes Axl's head seemes all kinds of fucked up but if you read Slash's book it's hard to blame him for being annoyed at how out of it his band members were. Slash and Duff slept with bottles of spirits next to their beds so they could start drinking as soon as they woke up. Slash was so high so often he was hallucinating that tiny Predators were chasing him.
