Not to give "Professor" King credit for a coherent thought, but "taking a haircut" is a financial term meaning (in this case) that he's willing to lose money to live in New York due to higher taxes and a higher cost of living.

Christian Bale is a pretty boy d bag, but that America Psycho movie he did is fucking brilliant. I think it's on Netflix. I avoided it for the longest time cuz I hate horror movies but it's not that at all. It's got this whole social critique of 80s culture thing going on. Super dark comedy.

Christian Bale does have an accent during the rant. Not to mention, a lot of actors start to mix American accents with their own after years of speaking differently in various roles.
