thank you, my darlings, for keeping Sarge out of the shadows. every single person in the world who knew about the situation was a point of light keeping him alive. literally. we made a large enough fuss that saved his life. i’m grateful to you for the return of my friend.

AD stands for Anno Domini, Latin for “in the year of the Lord”, while BC stands for “before Christ”.

Same! I teared up because honestly I was expecting to hear the worst. I’m so glad I was wrong and he is home. I wish the best in his recovery as I’m sure that road is going to be long.

I think many scientific and academic circles use BCE (before the common era) and CE (common era) as a neutral/secular alternative to BC/AD.

"In the year of" starts counting at his birth.

"After Death" would start counting 33 years after BC, so there would be an odd 33-year gap in the calendar.

I know Keith (the keeper of all things science and beakers) knows this, just clarifying in case other listeners don't.

Honey on the forehead is a thing in eastern Europe, sometimes you dip garlic in the honey. Suckiing garlic off your fathers thumb is a new one.
