Because Munch was on Homicide, and Roxanne Turner (Alfre Woodard's character on St. Elsewhere) was on Homicide, that means all the many shows Munch was on and all the shows then connected to those shows, take place in Tommy Westphall's snow globe. I agree with Chemda on the Santa theory.
And proof:
My kids were never told the Santa lies and are no conspiracy fans ( they are 7 and 10, or are they? What is time.)
