A surprise episode of Daddy Issues is like finding a chocolate cake in your fridge you didn't know about and then finding a winning lotto ticket inside it.

The listener who keeps track of the dates inspired me. I looked up Somerset, PA population on Wiki throughout the years just to see how off he was about the peak population period was:

1940 5,430
1950 5,936
1960 6,347
1970 6,269
1980 6,474
1990 6,454
2000 6,762
2010 6,277
2022 6,046

I was blown away by Ken's response to the Cake story. It touched on so many good points as it called out the Dad. I think he effectively denied the Dad from feeling superior and clever.

The Cake story is the strangest story we've heard Father Malley tell. I had to keep rewinding to make sure I understood...and I never did! That story is completely unhinged from reality.

Also, is "growing-up years" an American phrase or a Mike Malley-ism? I guess why say one word (childhood???) when you can say three and use one of those long flat commas, uhh I mean hyphen.
