Heartbreaking Story

Ok, so I know we've already talked about Dennis Quaid and his newborn twins given huge overdoses of a blood-thinning drug, but this story just came out and it just tugged at my heart.

While most celebs sue for press and for ungodly amounts of money, they're only looking for $50,000 due to the company's neglect.

I think it's a fair suit and should definitely win. Especially considering 3 infants already died of the same drug.

"Dennis Quaid and wife sue drug maker"

By ROBERT JABLON, Associated Press Writer

LOS ANGELES - Dennis Quaid and his wife sued the makers of heparin Tuesday after their newborn twins were inadvertently given massive doses of the blood thinner at a hospital.

The product liability lawsuit, filed in Chicago, seeks at least $50,000 in damages. It claims that Baxter Healthcare Corp., based in Deerfield, Ill., was negligent in packaging different doses of the product in similar vials with blue backgrounds and failing to recall them after three Indianapolis infants died from overdoses last year.
