Enough with the ragging on Ballys, Keith. The only people who have their credit fucked up by Ballys are people who don't pay their bills on time. If you pay on time, it's not a problem. Better yet, you can just link your account to a credit card or bank account, and they make automatic payments each month so you never have to worry about a late payment. OR you can pay off your membership all at once for 3 years.

I think it was Tristan who said he couldn't get out of his membership. That's bullshit. You CAN get out, if you pay off the contract. You sign a contract when you join, and you have to honor that contract or pay an early termination fee. It's just like any other contract. If you don't like that, there are other gyms that aren't as strict. But if you want to join Ballys, they are pretty explicit about the fact that you are signing a contract and you have to stick to it.

I've been a member for years now, as have many of my friends and my brother. None of us have ever had problems with that gym, I've never heard of anyone pesonally having problems, and the people who complain about the gym's billing and credit practices seem to only be people who paid their bills late, not at all, or tried to leave their contracts early. My 3-year contract ends in February and after that, my next membership contract is only $12 per month.

If you pay your shit on time, there are no problems, and I think Ballys is perfectly valid in reporting late payments or default accounts on those people who don't pay on time. Anything that involves a monthly bill and a contract that you sign your name to is fair game for credit reporting.

I think it was the third date, actually. My most vivid memory is the fact that he'd broken up over email, which tells you how memorable he was in other arenas. And of course, paying the bill for your gym membership is number one fucking priority isn't it? If you forget to pay that, you don't deserve to have good credit.
