Absolutely. Not only did he get what he deserved, I laughed my ass off watching it happen gradually.

about god...

I'm really spiritual, pray daily and such.

I think if someone prooved to me that there wasn't a god I wouldn't change at all. I've always kind of suspected that there isn't. It doesn't bother me, because even if God is a human construction, everything's a human construction.

I'm not into religion though. I don't really like being told what to do.

same thing. My God isn't the christian God. I often pray to Kali, because I like her.

I've sorta reached a weird stage in my spirituality.

Most of the things I've been taught by the LDS church on how to live my daily life makes total sense. It's basically just common sense I think. Be prepared, avoid doing unhealthy things, respect for marriage and family (though when it comes to homosexual marriage and families I disagree with the religion), doing acts of charity for others and doing all this because you want to because it's right and not because you're told to.

Still, part of me has this feeling of, "Fuck you. How dare you pretend to be some loving and merciful heavenly father and then DEMAND that I be your humble slave for time and all eternity."

So, at the moment I do as I please. I work every day to be a better person than I was yesterday. I try to treat myself and others better, I try to treat my body better (though I've been unsuccessful there lately) and I am always on a quest to further my intelligence and knowledge. Still, I am not comfortable with the idea of playing the role of servant and doing things I'm not comfortable with just because some higher power told me to.

So to the point of the thread, I think the answer about God's existance might slightly change who I am but might not change my behavior. Just because God exists doesn't mean I have to do as I'm told. It might mean a lesser happiness or existance after I die but the idea of being some subservient being makes me sick to my stomach and I don't believe any loving deity would require it and any unloving deity isn't one I'm willing to obey.

I've always wondered about how every member of LDS that I've met that's involved in the church is so very nice when I meet them (even to a heathen like myself) but their church holds such unaccepting beliefs in reguards to gays and head-string women. Have I just been taught that they are worse than they really are by my hippie friends?

Also, whenever I try to ask them about the churchs views in these areas, they change the subject. It's odd.
