I Need a Tech Nerd!

My laptop is old and crotchety so I got a new one. YaY! I need new virus software and since I'm tech retarded I was hoping one of you delicious nerds could give me a recommendation. kthx.

I really don't know.
I have it and I 'm annoyed by it popping up and bugging me, but other than that, is there a reason not to use it?

I've got a project with a customer of mine coming up and they are huge Symantic bigots. I haven't heard anything horrible about S, but I'd like to know if you have. FYI ... it's a corporate application with about 67 users both in office and remote.

It was a resource whore on my computer both at home and on my work PC. I eventually got sick of the lagging and freezing and found completely removing it was a absolute motherfucker.

Once i finally deleted it completely, i installed the full version AVG which i got through work and have never had a problem since. No lagging, no freezing... nothing.

Huh, now that you mention it, it does run and run and run all the time.
I'm gonna ditch it too.

Good luck. I had a bitch of a time removing it all. I don't know whether the newer versions are better than the older ones (by older, i mean 2006) but it was a pain in the ass.
