I just find a server and invite anyone I see on TF2 in the KATG group in, we've never maxed one out but it would be a nice problem to have.

I'll update the TF2 event later but Counterstrike Source just got a huge update and it's on sale for just two days 66% off or $6.80/£4.76 Buy it, I'll be doing an event for it in the future.

DEFINITELY need to play CS:S at some point now that it has 155 achievements and all the other goodies that came with that massive update the other day. I'll try to make it to TF2 this week but I'll be very late. Hopefully you'll still be going. Otherwise, I should make it to CS:S or whatever next time.

Hey folks, just in case you spend more time on these forums than you do on Steam there is another of their HUGE sales going on till Keith and the Girl Day!

Check things out, there are tons of awesome prices on things. If you are new to these sales then here is a big tip: if you see a game that you want and it is only on sale for 33% off (or maybe even 50%) hold off on buying it until the end of the sale. Every day they put out OUTRAGEOUS discounts on certain games. Today is the first day of the sale and i bought Dirt 2 for 10 bucks, 75% off! Look through and find the things that you might be interested that are already on sale and make a list of them. Check back every day and if it doesn't go on a daily sale, pick it up on the last day.

I joined the KATG group (name is StankGunner) So hopefully I will see you in some games!

I just recently opened a steam account and installed it on my computer...
I'm relatively low on cash, so I'm very excited about these summer sales, but I don't really know what to get.

I prefer to buy as cheaply as possible...but if a game is THAT great enough, I don't mind spending a bit on it...preferably not more than $20...but if I can find something at $5-ish then, that's perfect.

I want to get a few games, do any of you have any recommendations?

To make it easier, games I've really enjoyed lately:
Fallout 3, I freakin' love that game.
Portal, re-beat it not too long ago...it's still fun.
Little Big Planet
God of War 3
Red Faction & Red Faction Guerilla
Half Life 2
Street Fighter 4
Dante's Inferno
Oblivion
I'm really into nostalgic games, but I'm not necessarily looking for any...Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3 have always been in my top 5 games...I'm a huge fan of the Zelda series..but again, not really looking for games made in the 80s/90s.
Call of Duty, MW and MW2
The Sims, I've always liked their games...even the SimCity, SimSafari, Sim anything.

The majority of the video gaming I do is on game consoles, not on PC, but I've always wanted to play more PC games...anyway..any suggestions would be appreciated. I know you guys know more about games than I do.

Edit: I've been wanting to get into more "adventure"-y type games and I really like strategy/puzzle games as well, also I like games with really interesting stories/settings...I would rather something a little "unreal" than something based on "real world" things...like...I rather an alien planet, or a mystical jungle, or robots taking something over/evil corrupt government...than battling in Iraq, or being a secret agent, yadda.
