So who plays games on steam? (Let's get some pc gaming going between us)

I play on Steam, but I don't know if I'm going to much anymore. There are just so many hackers that it has ruined it for me.

Is anyone here a gamer nerd who could help me:

I play on a laptop that doesn't have a very good video card. It handles TF2 and older games pretty much without lag, but when I first join a map like 2Fort, it basically takes me the first 5 minutes to just walk through the map and lag like hell while it caches graphics. It seems to only require this for water effects, so I basically have to take a few deaths to walk once through sewers, once through water, and then have underwater fights with someone to see underwater explosions and stuff. All of these lag the first time I do it, but after that it's fine.

I'm guessing this is TF2 caching extra graphics, is there a way to get it to cache when I'm joining a server, instead of when I'm trying to kill people?

I think fortnightly would be good. However if it's Saturday 10pm I'll be at work. I work 8am-12pm on Sundays which is 10pm GMT... but if anyone is still around at 2:30 or whatever, I'll totally be up for a game!

Fortnightly is what I'm leaning to. I might try switching the day around but it'll be on the weekend. I'm sure some of us will still be about.

Perhaps one fortnight on a Sunday, and the next on a Saturday? I'll be able to make the Saturday one as said above, if people are still on, but never the Sunday one unfortunately.

Well my birthday is in 4 days and the fiancee was asked what i wanted so I mentioned Counterstrike and Team Fortress 2. So maybe i'll be getting those, once I have all the games here everyone is into i'll be happy to join in.

Because im so far behind in the KATG episodes, i'll likely not be trolling forums too much except the games one until i'm caught up.

Anyway, for now BF: Bad Company 2 is getting really good. Its hella hard the first 4 levels or so, but once u begin to unlock the good stuff it gets a lot better! I play for about 3 hours at a time before i have to get up and visit the real world again. Good game!!

Looking forward to the other games coming, if she doesnt buy em for me, i will on steam anyway lol (shh).

PS: Made my own clan tag in Bad Company 2 called <KATG> haha so if u see someone around on it with that tag, that'll be me!
