Congrats on the Big Time. While the reporter may have done a 'top of the lists' summary we're actually at good time in the history of podcasting when the tops of the lists are decent shows. KATG, Ask a Ninja, TikiBar, and even JerryTime are all funny as hell the majority of the time

I can believe that, if they include the downloads that happen everytime you go to the site. Maybe he's got a computer with an automatic "refresh" on the main page. He's racking up the hits AND downloads. Well, not "downloads" per s, but plays.

Hmmm... Maybe that's how he gets the Podshow money. He only has 7 listeners and a computer that "listens" to the show multiple times.

I doubt the godaddy guys are that stupid. They would probably want some proof of number of downloads. Like Libsyn supplies. I'm sure Podshow knows the number. There's no way his homepage hits are included in that.

That's something I wonder about, the numbers that some of these shows claim to have. If you're producing your own show, and you're in control of how the numbers get released, then how do we know you're telling the truth? TV and radio stations would love to have that kind of control. But TV/radio numbers are based on either Arbitron or Nielsen. Anyway, I wouldn't trust any of the numbers put out by PodShow. I heard Madge Weinstein say that she had 9 million listeners. Like that's even possible at this point in podcasting.
