FUUUUUUUUUUUCK This!

okay, i can see where the navy is going with this, the pirates are stealing mostly communications hardware, possibly to build robuts. this could be a potential threat.
BUT,
this is no reason to mount a machine gun on top of an autonomous aquatic robut.
Machine-guns should only be mounted on boats operated by drunken hillbillies and used for sport fishing. am i wrong?

Robot sight

Robots would make terrible pirates, but as pirate hunters we could have a problem, since robots have as Lion-O would put it, "sight beyond sight". But as pirates they just cannot compete with real dicks.

On a practical note - can a robot be expected to tell the difference between a boat of pirates and , lets say, a boat of refuges?
