There is a great book out called "Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality" co-authored by a man and a woman. It explains how over the years and specifically around the agricultural revolution, a woman's vagina became 'property.' It's a fascinating book and has a great audio version as well. Highly recommend.
