This ep really hit home for me, and I'll definitely try the gratitude thing.
I had a rough year with my grandfather passing away and my parents divorcing. Despite being an adult these events affected me more than I thought they would and I was in a bad mood all the time and started eventually lashing out at my wife a little. We started seeing a couples therapist where I learned that I actually do have feelings! I've just ignored them completely my whole life. Just being able to pinpoint conditions from my childhood that could cause the behaviour/patterns I exhibit today has been life changing. |
