On the Neil Patrick Harris/Holding up the sign with his phone number on it thing:

I'm just sitting down to watch last night's How I Met Your Mother (which aired the day after the game) and the opening scene is the main characters at a Superbowl party and NPH is missing. They cut to the TV and he's in the crowd holding up the same sign he had at the real life game.

The episode has him getting calls from people because of it. I think it's kinda cool that they had the real life thing tie into a story line the day after.



Edit: The phone number on the actual sign is a real number, but the one on the show had a 555 so I guess they weren't the same. I tried the number in the pic and it doesn't connect so maybe it only worked during the Superbowl?

Since I find Megan Fox very attractive, her bragging about how hot she is isn't pretentious. But she isn't just having fun, either; she is bragging.

Agreed on the definition of pretentious but i would go for voting the option closer to the truth.

Personally i feel that she tried to pull the "sex goddess who's alsosmart and has a sense of humour", without succeding. First because she is attractive but not a sex symbol, second because she has zero irony and it shows. So yes the commercial is pretentious.

I don't think she is actually bragging about her own opinion. She has been told by the entire entertainment industry that she is "ZOMFG F***ing Hot as S**t" and there is no room in her head for any thoughts of her own.
